The American Platform Tennis Association, APTA, is the
governing body of the sport of Platform Tennis. The APTA, located in Summit,
New Jersey, has a professional staff that coordinates the efforts of
APTA volunteers, players, tournament directors, and Board members. They have
knowledge of how to play the game, where to purchase paddles and balls, where
to play, and who teaches "platform tennis" in your area. The APTA works to promote and
develop the sport at all levels. It supports local, regional, and national
participation and sanctions and promotes over 100 platform tennis tournaments a
year. These tournaments include juniors, men's, women's, and mixed doubles, all
with age group categories.
